Tokio Marine HCC International appoints Gavin Bridges as Chief Claims Officer to strengthen claims strategy and leadership.
Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI), part of the Tokio Marine HCC group based in Houston, Texas, announced the addition of Gavin Bridges as its new Chief Claims Officer. Bridges, who will be based in London, will report to Thibaud Hervy, Chief Executive Officer of TMHCCI. With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, Gavin Bridges comes to TMHCCI from his position as Head of European Market and Legacy Claims at QBE. He led the European market's expansion, enhanced data-driven solutions, and optimized portfolio management at QBE. Bridges spent 15 years as the Claims Manager for Overseas and Lloyd's Reinsurance division at Equity Insurance Group prior to joining QBE.
In his new position, Bridges will work closely with underwriting teams and promote TMHCCI's client-centric mindset in order to fortify the company's claims strategy. His leadership aims to elevate the company’s service excellence and maintain agility in claims servicing. Bridges is among the senior leadership appointments that TMHCCI has made recently, including the promotion of Thibaud Hervy to CEO and raising Simon Button to International Chief Underwriting Officer. Hervy acknowledged Bridges for his wealth of experience and premium skills he boasts in the industry while pointing out claims servicing as key to providing transparency and responsiveness.
"I am excited to be joining TMHCCI," stated Bridges. "With the changing risk environment we are facing, TMHCCI's dedication to service and its policyholders distinguishes it. I am eager to drive innovation and enhance claims strength to benefit clients and underwriting teams alike." TMHCCI continues to reinforce its leadership strength to support its role as a premier specialty insurance group with a commitment to client service and operational excellence.
