Three individuals lost their lives due to a small plane crash near Pacific Grove, California. Rescue teams, the FAA, and NTSB are investigating the accident.
Authorities reported the death of three individuals due to the small private plane that crashed into the Pacific Ocean located near Pacific Grove, California. Flight tracking platform Flightradar24 reported that the plane, Beech 95-B55 Baron, took off from San Carlos Airport after 10 p.m.; that is 25 miles south of San Francisco.
The plane crashed into the ocean 200 to 300 yards off Point Pinos after flying for 30 minutes, near the southwest corner of Monterey Bay. Soon the crash was reported to the U.S. Coast Guard by Monterey County officials. Rescue and search operations began as the rescue boats from Monterey County and Cal Fire, the Pacific Grove Police Department, and a Coast Guard aircraft arrived at the location.
A representative named Ryan Graves, a petty officer, stated that the plane was found and all three individuals were recovered dead. Victims' names and details remain unknown. Cause of the accident is investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). As the investigation progresses, officials will be examining the wreck, flight records, and other evidence. Officials have warned the public to stay away from the scene, as the disaster has an enormous effect on the area.
