Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 series to launch with upgraded hardware and Gemini AI voice assistant.
Samsung is set to reveal its highly anticipated Galaxy Watch 8 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, and preliminary rumors point to a slew of compelling upgrades for technology enthusiasts. Being one of the most eagerly awaited smartwatch launches, the Galaxy Watch 8 series appears to have coupled potent hardware, elegant design, and advanced AI integration. According to specifications leaked online, the Galaxy Watch 8 series will feature a 3nm Samsung Exynos processor, which promises better performance and battery life. The One UI 8 Watch, Samsung's new smartwatch operating system, will be running the smartwatches, providing smooth operation and more opportunities for customization.
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will likely be a single 46mm model with a 1.34-inch screen, stainless steel case, and Premium Hybrid Strap. It supposedly has a 445mAh battery, targeting users who want premium build and long usage. In the meantime, the default Galaxy Watch 8 might be available in two sizes — 40mm and 44mm. The 40mm variant might pack a 1.34-inch display and a 325mAh battery, while the bigger 44mm version might host a 1.47-inch display and a 425mAh battery. Both models will apparently be equipped with aluminium cases paired with Silicone Sports Bracelets.
In a significant change, Samsung can also swap Google Assistant with Gemini AI as its default voice assistant. Promotional images leaked beforehand feature the words "Ask Google Gemini," suggesting a closer collaboration between Google's AI on the entire wearable range. Sporting a slim design, powerful specs, and intelligent AI features, the Galaxy Watch 8 series appears all set to push the limits of what a gadget on your wrist can accomplish.
