AI, agentic marketing, and first-party data are reshaping the future of customer engagement.
Salesforce Annual Connections Chicago brought together marketing professionals globally to analyze the marketing future, keeping in mind artificial intelligence (AI) and agentic approaches. Workshops, deep dives, and discussionS focused on the way AI is transforming marketing practice were the highlights of the two-day event.
Agentic marketing, one of the most potent conference highlights, was the latest way in which AI works together proactively with marketers to build better customer experiences. Salesforce CMO Ariel Kelman described the way that marketers are being remade by agentic AI and data-driven personalization in an increasingly AI-powered world. Kelman described how AI technologies have the power to make work efficient, predict customer needs, and tailor content based on individual requirements, making marketing both more efficient as well as effective.
Another session by Bobby Jania, CMO, of Marketing Cloud at Salesforce, presented the intersection of first-party data, AI, and cross-channel orchestration as shaping the customer engagement future. Jania spoke about how companies can utilize their own data to create seamless, intelligent customer experiences across channels.
The event also featured views from global leaders like Julie Nestor, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Mastercard Asia Pacific. Nestor covered how Mastercard has been used to create brand presence through its 'Priceless' platform and how the company has tied up with Eva Live in India to stage over 20 live events, hoping to connect with the audience through music and experiences.
Overall, Salesforce's Connections conference was a testament to the growing presence of AI in marketing, offering great insights into how companies can use such technologies to build richer, more meaningful relationships with customers.
