AAEON and Qualcomm collaborate to accelerate AI-powered embedded IoT solutions for key industries.
AAEON, a forerunner in Edge AI and embedded computing, has unveiled a strategic partnership with Qualcomm Technologies to accelerate development and adoption of leading-edge embedded IoT solutions in major verticals, such as medical, industrial automation, and transportation.
AAEON and Qualcomm Technologies are collaborating to develop high-performance Dragonwing processors for smart, connected IoT devices, addressing increasing demands for advanced data processing at the edge.
The inclusion of Qualcomm's Dragonwing QCS6490 and IQ9 Series processors within AAEON's new product lines is the focal aspect of the project. PICO and HPC Single Board Computers (SBCs) with industrial-grade will be on the market in Q4 2025, as will AI edge computing platforms and uCOM SMARC modules in Q3 2025. The platforms are designed to enable AI inference and real-time data processing for critical Internet of Things applications.
To further supplement the IoT ecosystem, AAEON is building a robust development platform with the Edge Impulse platform for effortless AI model deployment complemented with its own in-house capabilities in miniaturization, custom kernel design, thermal solutions, and Board Support Package (BSP) solutions.
“Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies enables us to bring IoT innovations to life faster and with greater customization for our customers,” said Howard Young, AI Solution Architect at AAEON. “Together, we’re delivering the tools and technologies needed to solve complex challenges in embedded IoT.”
This partnership is a major milestone towards scaling secure, AI-powered IoT solutions that meet industry-specific needs, enabling developers and system integrators to innovate confidently and at high velocity.
