Top Canadian marketing executive takes on new portfolio leadership at PepsiCo Foods USA.
PepsiCo Canada’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jess Spaulding, is transitioning to a new leadership role within PepsiCo Foods in the United States. Spaulding will now lead marketing for Food Master Brands & Portfolio Transformation, a key strategic area focused on growth and innovation within the PepsiCo Foods division.
This move marks a return to the U.S. for Spaulding, who previously served as Senior Marketing Director for iconic brands such as Cheetos and Intense Flavours under PepsiCo Foods North America in Plano, Texas. Her appointment to the CMO role in Canada in April 2022 was part of a broader effort to bring dynamic brand strategies and creative excellence to the Canadian market.
During her tenure as CMO in Canada, Spaulding led marketing efforts across a diverse portfolio of household-name brands, including Lay’s, Doritos, Smartfood, Quaker, and Crispy Minis. Her leadership has been instrumental in delivering standout campaigns, enhancing brand visibility, and winning industry accolades.
In a message shared on LinkedIn, Spaulding reflected on her time in Canada, expressing deep appreciation for the PepsiCo Foods Canada leadership team and agency partners. “Together, we pushed boundaries, built breakthrough creative campaigns, and elevated our brands in ways I’m deeply proud of,” she wrote. “The passion, talent, and collaboration across our group inspired me every single day.”
She added, “While it’s bittersweet to leave such an amazing team and community, I’m energized by what’s ahead. I’m looking forward to this next chapter — continuing to build iconic brands, champion creativity, and deliver impact at scale.”
Spaulding’s move underscores PepsiCo’s commitment to internal leadership development and the strategic alignment of its global brand portfolio across markets.
