Alaska’s new Tiana-themed aircraft honors Disney attractions and celebrates Disneyland’s 70th anniversary partnership.
Alaska Airlines has announced a fascinating aircraft livery that draws inspiration from new log flume experiences at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Park in California, as well as The Princess and the Frog. Both the immersive Tiana's Bayou Adventure attraction, which was introduced at Magic Kingdom in June 2024 and Disneyland in November 2024 and the classic Walt Disney animation with Princess Tiana are given due recognition in the artwork. The airplane has the tail number N596AS and is a Boeing 737-800.
The complex artwork, which took artists more than 2,000 hours to produce, landscapes Disney favorites such as Louis the Alligator splashing in water lilies on the bayou and Princess Tiana. There is a trail of fireflies from the aircraft's nose to its tail, along with Mama Odie and Prince Naveen on the winglets. Prior to its inaugural trip to Santa Ana in California last week, Alaska Airlines debuted the new design at Portland International Airport. It is known as Tiana's Bayou Adventure Flyer.
The vibrant aircraft is the carrier's first Disney princess and eighth Disney-themed aircraft. Arriving in time for Disneyland Resort's 70th celebration which starts on May 16 and lasts until the summer of 2026 is Tiana's Bayou Adventure Flyer. The aircraft will be available for passenger travel across Alaska's route network for the foreseeable future. Junior pilots may expect a Tiana's Bayou Adventure lunch pack aboard starting this summer.
As Disneyland Resort approaches its 70th anniversary celebration starting on 16 May, the company climaxes over 25 years of partnership with Alaska Airlines to bring joy and attraction to travelers. The newest initiative celebrates the resort’s rich legacy while embracing the future, with Princess Tiana as a symbol of the journey ahead.
