Samsung releases stable One UI 7.0 update in India, bringing UI redesign and new features.
Samsung officially rolled out the stable One UI 7.0 update in India, a huge milestone for Android users. The update, which is based on Android 15, was first released in South Korea and has now reached India. Top-end Samsung phones, such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6, are the first to get the update, with other devices to follow in the coming weeks.
The update also brings the April 2025 security patch and a host of new features and enhancements to further improve the overall user experience. The new software comes with a significant overhaul of the user interface, including different pages for notifications and the Quick Panel. The Quick Panel is now more customizable, and users can customize it even more, and it has a new volume slider for convenience.
Apart from the revamped UI, One UI 7.0 also brings fresh app icons, enhanced stock apps, and an overhauled camera app with enhanced one-handed usability. Samsung's new Galaxy AI features also arrive with the update, bringing smarter functionality throughout the device.
For users who love customization, the update introduces a slew of new widgets and a new widget design for both lock screen and home screen. Lock screen customization has also been increased, allowing users to have greater control over how their device looks. The update also provides smoother animations and transitions across the system, with an added playful and fluid touch.
Another striking addition to One UI 7.0 is the new Now Bar that shows real-time notifications on the lock screen, such as media playback updates, sports scores, navigation, and Samsung health activity.
The One UI 7.0 stable update is now live for some high-end devices in India, the Middle East, UAE, and Turkey. Samsung will roll out the update to more countries, including North America, in the coming weeks. Mid-range phones, as well as some older devices, will be getting the update in the coming days, with low-end Galaxy phones to arrive in the next few months.
