LEES 2026 in Tripoli will focus on Libya’s oil and gas goals, exploration, and international partnerships.
One of the important platforms for invention and investment in Libya's energy sector is the Libya Energy & Economic Summit, or LEES. From January 24th to 26th, the 2026 Summit will now be hosted in Tripoli. Because of growing international interest, this will be the first time the event lasts three full days.
LEES 2026 will offer important information on Libya's motivated energy goals as the country aims to increase oil output to two million barrels per day in the coming years. The conference will highlight the role that Libyan and international private sector participants play in fostering progress. To meet domestic energy needs and provide a dependable fuel supply for downstream sectors, the development of natural gas and associated infrastructure continues to be a top priority.
LEES 2026, which takes place soon after Libya's 2025 licensing cycle ends, will be essential. This round is the first in 17 years and includes 22 onshore and offshore research blocks. With LEES cooperating with industry groups from the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other key partners, international involvement is expected to rise. Recent developments in the U.K. show that Libya is willing to reconnect with the private sector on a larger scale. Travel guidelines and foreign policy developments, which are expected to increase global involvement.
Supported by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Libya's Ministry of Oil and Gas, the summit brings together investors, policymakers, and world energy experts to develop strategic alliances and renew Libya's energy industry. In order to spur investment and draw attention to the potential for achieving Libya's energy goals, LEES 2026 seeks to draw in a wide range of stakeholders, including NOC subsidiaries, foreign oil corporations, financial institutions, and technology providers.
