Sleek design, powerful specs, and early launch to outpace Apple’s upcoming iPhone.
Samsung is preparing to unveil its highly anticipated smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, later this May. As per a fresh report in South Korea, the firm intends to organize its subsequent Galaxy Unpacked unveiling on May 13, when the phone will presumably be presented officially.
Originally hyped up in Samsung's Unpacked event back in January and quickly displayed during MWC 2025, the Galaxy S25 Edge is coming out earlier in South Korea and China. Pre-orders shall start from May 14 up to May 20, followed by sales opening on May 23 in said countries. The rest of the world, including the United States, will allegedly get the release a week after, on May 30.
According to the leaked information, the Galaxy S25 Edge would cost KRW 1.5 million (approximately ₹87,000) for the base 256GB variant, while the 512GB variant will cost KRW 1.63 million (approximately ₹97,000). This positions it between the high-end Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S25+.
As far as features are concerned, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 6.6-inch screen. It is rumored to be very thin, being only 5.84mm. Camera specifications could be a 200MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary camera.
The phone may also be equipped with a 3,900mAh battery and 25W fast charging. Color variants are likely to come in Titanium IcyBlue, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Silver, much like the S25 Ultra.
Samsung seems to be accelerating the release to beat Apple, which is said to launch the thin iPhone 17 Air this year.
