FedEx strengthens its leadership team in the Asia Pacific region with key appointments to enhance performance and competitiveness.
FedEx Corporation, the world’s largest express transportation company, has reaffirmed its leadership position in Asia Pacific (APAC) through a series of senior appointments as part of its business and talent drive. The company has hired Marcus Balzereit as Senior Vice President, APAC Sales & Solutions, Rumana Rahman as Vice President, APAC Human Resources, and Shanker Venkateswaran as Vice President, APAC Planning & Engineering.
Marcus Balzereit, with more than 25 years of experience in the logistics sector, will spearhead FedEx's 2,000-person sales organization in APAC. His mandate will be to grow profitable revenues, increase market share, and provide customized solutions to build closer relationships with customers. Marcus's guidance will help FedEx seize growth opportunities in the dynamic APAC region, which is fast-changing.
Rumana Rahman, with 24 years of human resources experience in APAC, the Middle East, and Africa, will drive talent development and foster a high-performance culture in the region. Her deep experience in building winning people strategies will be extremely valuable as FedEx continues to reshape its talent base to meet the demands of a changing and diverse talent pool.
Shanker Venkateswaran brings over two decades of business, technology, and operations experience and will lead FedEx's ground network evolution. With a focus on digitization, design, and automation, Shanker's vision will enhance operational flexibility and efficiency and allow FedEx to continue to meet fast-changing customer needs in the APAC region.
Kawal Preet, Asia Pacific president at FedEx, highlighted that a future-fit team comes first. These new additions cement the company's commitment to remaining ahead of customers' needs, driving market growth, and empowering teams with the innovation it requires to succeed in the dynamic APAC market.
