Cybersecurity expert to lead digital safety, risk management, and data protection efforts.
IIFL Home Loans has appointed Gunjan Mody as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in an effort to improve cybersecurity. Mody brings more than 20 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and data security and is assuming the role at a time when protecting digital systems is more important now than it has ever been, especially in the financial services sector.
Before he joined IIFL Home Loans, Mody was a CISO of PNB Housing Finance, where he built the entire cybersecurity infrastructure from scratch. There, he deployed next-gen level security appliances, provided strict company-wide security protocols, and enacted steps to make awareness-aware personnel regarding cyber risks.
At IIFL Home Loans, Mody will oversee the company's initiatives in detecting and preventing cyberattacks, risk management, data protection compliance, and security awareness employee education. As the company rolls out more digital services, his role will be the most important to protect customer information as well as company systems.
In his release, Mody said, "With IIFL Home Loans’ growing digital footprint, the responsibility to safeguard customer trust is immense. I’m excited to work with the leadership to shape a future-ready cybersecurity roadmap and build a robust security culture within the organization."
His hiring suggests that IIFL wants to stay one step ahead of emerging cyberattacks like phishing, ransomware, and hacking. Mody possesses technical as well as business expertise, so he is best placed with the attitude to grasp cybersecurity.
IIFL Home Loans, under this new leadership, is going to strengthen its web security and create a more robust online future for the company and customers.
