Bybit supports Vietnam's regulatory sandbox, driving global leadership in compliance and RegTech for secure digital asset innovation.
Bybit, the global number-one cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume, announced firm support of Vietnam's sandbox regulatory initiative and is therefore a worldwide leader in RegTech and compliance. Bybit CEO and Co-founder Ben Zhou attended an upper-management gathering in Hanoi, where he met with Vietnam's Minister of Finance, H.E. Nguyen Van Thang to discuss the nation's advanced digital asset regulation.
The session, held at the Ministry of Finance building, was Vietnam's pursuit to develop a regulatory framework for the issuance and exchange of crypto assets. The foundation of the process is creating a regulatory sandbox, where the government will test digital asset technologies in a controlled environment. The plan is designed to safeguard investors, reduce systemic risk, and enhance regulatory preparedness prior to mass legislation.
One of the most emphatic areas of debate was the importance of RegTech systems in combating illegal financial activities. Minister Nguyen emphasized the need for robust compliance frameworks, particularly with regard to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) activities—two fundamental areas where RegTech systems can facilitate real-time monitoring, automation, and effectiveness.
Bybit responded in a commitment to offer its expertise in global compliance standards. The exchange offered support in system architecture, transaction monitoring, and regulator education, demonstrating the increasing application of RegTech in constructing secure digital finance ecosystems.
"Vietnam's sandbox is a responsible step toward regulated innovation," Zhou said. "Bybit believes in vision and is set to bring new RegTech solutions that enhance transparency and financial security."
The conference ended with the State Securities Minister ordering the State Securities Commission to cooperate with Bybit in comprehensive proposals. The cooperation is a sign of increasing appreciation for the pivotal role that RegTech has played in leading secure, transparent, and innovation-driven digital economies.
