04 April, 2025
Over 800 delegates gathered to network, discuss innovations, and explore business opportunities in life sciences.
The attendance at OBN's annual BioTrinity conference, which is in its 19th year and took place this week in London, matched the record set in 2024. Over 800 representatives from new life sciences firms, investors, pharmaceutical companies, science parks, and professional services organizations convened for the event. This provided them all with priceless chances to network, connect, and form alliances in order to propel industry expansion, acquire business intelligence, and commemorate the most recent outstanding inventions.
Three thrilling tracks ran concurrently during the race. Insight into how the Inflation Reduction Act affects external markets, the role of the British Business Bank in promoting UK life sciences, and the impact of macro-environmental factors on expanding R&D companies were just a few of the fascinating in-depth topics covered by experts and panel discussions in the Business & Investment track. Concurrently, there were two science tracks that covered 14 focus areas, where companies showcased their latest discoveries and new ideas.
With plenty of opportunity for networking and spontaneous contacts, the conference was held in the spacious Convene at 133 Hounds Ditch. The Partnering area served as a venue for delegates to network and meet, demonstrating OBN's dedication to assisting its members in creating new relationships. As groups gathered to discuss corporate expansion, there was a steady buzz of conversation in the room. Over the course of the two days (plus a third virtual partnering day), about 10,000 meetings were requested of which 2,000 were held in person. All of them were intended to encourage the industry's deal-making.
The academic poster presentations returned for BioTrinity 2025 after a successful debut at the event in 2024. Here, early-career professionals and life science professors presented their ideas to the BioTrinity audience in a fast-paced setting while showcasing a poster that advertised their product.
