The Ministry of Ayush's NAM Conclave 2025 will focus on enhancing quality assurance in Ayush healthcare.
The Ministry of Ayush is putting heavy focus on quality assurance in healthcare with the forthcoming National Ayush Mission (NAM) Conclave 2025 in Lonavala, Maharashtra, on May 1-2. The conclave will assemble experts, policymakers, and health professionals to enhance the integration of indigenous Indian medicine systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy, and others into mainstream healthcare.
Among the central themes of the event is going to be quality assurance in Ayush healthcare systems. The conclave will be highlighting the improvement of the quality of services throughout the nation through evidence-based practices and highlighting the best practices from all states and Union Territories. Through the implementation of modern regulatory mechanisms and addressing quality assurance frameworks, the ministry will seek to bring the standards and efficacy of Ayush-based treatments up to standard. This will encompass the establishment of Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG), in terms of metabolic disorders, that will direct practitioners to provide effective and uniform treatments.
Kavita Garg, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, emphasized that the conclave would also address key matters such as monitoring and evaluation, HR capacity building, and integration with conventional medicine to further enhance the overall quality of Ayush care. These issues will be addressed with the intent to align the traditional systems in consonance with the modern healthcare practices while providing safe and effective treatments to the people.
The event will play a vital role in helping Ayush care be holistic in addition to being of the best quality, focusing on ongoing improvement. With excellent quality assurance systems, the ministry aims to build a reliable and sustainable system capable of meeting India's growing healthcare needs.
