Multilingual AI chatbot to assist startups with funding, incubation, and queries.
TheMinistry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will soon be releasing AI-enabled chatbot and voice bot offerings to support the Indian startups. With the MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), the initiative will provide round-the-clock multilingual assistance to startups that need information related to government programs, funding sources, and incubators.
The chatbot will be integrated into the MSH portal to offer real-time query responses and personalized AI-driven suggestions against startups' profiles and business needs, as per a Call for Application (CFA) published on March 20. The AI chatbot will use Natural Language Processing (NLP) to offer context-specific responses while handling a large volume of questions in an efficient and optimal manner. It will also facilitate lead generation and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) integration to allow startups to monitor and follow through on their interactions.
One of the highlights of the chatbot is its multilingual capabilities in Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Spanish, Arabic, and German with superior responses. It will also have basic support for Odia, Malayalam, Telugu, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Assamese to cater to startups from various pockets. The multilingual feature is likely to fill gaps in communication for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 city entrepreneurs.
The chatbot will further offer user engagement and conversation trends analytics, which will enable MSH to develop user experience and service delivery improvement. Data privacy and protection are guaranteed through ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance.
The chosen startup should implement the chatbot within five to seven days of the receipt of the work order, with the initial implementation period being 12 months, extendable. The deadline for applications is March 26, 2025, and technical assessments start on March 27.
