The expanded Azure support includes Azure Private Link, which enhances security by ensuring that traffic remains within Microsoft's private network
Redpanda, a leading unified streaming data platform, has announced the integration of its Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) service with Microsoft Azure, expanding its multi-cloud offerings to meet the growing demand for flexible data infrastructure. This new integration enables Redpanda BYOC users to leverage Azure's cloud environment for mission-critical data deployments, combining data sovereignty with fully managed cluster scalability and robust support.
The integration with Azure allows Redpanda users to create real-time applications across multiple regions and availability zones, furthering the platform’s appeal to businesses requiring advanced data streaming capabilities. Azure Private Link, a feature of the enhanced Azure support, improves security by guaranteeing that traffic stays within Microsoft's private network. This feature, coupled with SOC 2 Type 2 certification, underscores Redpanda’s commitment to security and compliance. Redpanda's current support for Tiered Storage utilizing Azure Blob Storage (ABS) and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) also benefits customers by guaranteeing scalable and effective data management. Additionally, Redpanda Connect, introduced in May, offers open-source connectors to Azure services, enabling seamless data flow between Redpanda and native Azure applications. These connectors are available for free and can be hosted alongside Redpanda BYOC deployments in Azure.
Initially available in six regions, including centralus, eastus, and uksouth, the Azure integration represents a significant step in Redpanda’s multi-cloud strategy, with plans for further regional expansion.
