Oracle introduces new user experience features for Fusion Cloud SCM, aiming to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Oracle recently announced significant user experience (UX) updates for its Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) platform, designed to improve the efficiency of global supply chains. Built on the Oracle Redwood Design System, these updates are tailored to help procurement professionals, logistics managers, field service technicians, and product managers increase productivity and accelerate supply chain processes.
Chris Leone, Oracle's executive vice president of applications development, emphasized the impact of a seamless user experience in the fast-paced supply chain environment. “A poor user experience can lead to delays and increased costs,” Leone stated. “Our latest Redwood UX updates aim to enhance operational speed and accuracy, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.”
The enhancements include a smarter search function that improves keyword matching and filtering, business rules for customizing user interfaces based on specific criteria, and Oracle Guided Journeys that provide tailored, multi-format assistance during process execution.
For Oracle Cloud SCM, the new features are focused on specific needs such as pricing rules for order management, which help automate discounts and streamline sales promotions; field parts inventory management to optimize service efficiency; and a structures view for product management to speed up the analysis and validation of bill of materials. Additionally, the guided task for mass component replacement aims to improve efficiency and reduce errors during mass updates.
These updates are designed to empower users, effortlessly connect supply chain processes, and enable organizations to quickly respond to changing market conditions. With new features added quarterly, Oracle Cloud SCM helps customers build a resilient supply network that can adapt to ongoing changes.
