Piers Hillier Named CIO at Jupiter, Advancing Investment Growth

Piers Hillier joins Jupiter as CIO, leading active investment management strategies and equities leadership for growth.

Jupiter Asset Management announces Piers Hillier as the new Chief Investment Officer effective immediately in London, United Kingdom. This appointment demonstrates Jupiter's commitment to their active management strategies and leadership within the global equity marketplace. With over 30 years of investment experience and talent acquisition, Mr. Hillier is well positioned to assist with Jupiter's next phase of growth.

Mr. Hillier will be responsible for managing Jupiter's investment teams and capabilities, developing new innovative investment solutions, and enhancing Jupiter's capacity to attract and retain top investment talent. In addition, he will drive advancements in Jupiter's unique investment experience and increase the growth potential of Jupiter's high conviction investment products.

As CIO at Royal London Asset Management from 2015 until he took up his new position with Jupiter, Hillier was responsible for leading both portfolio management functions and developing new investment strategies across various asset classes. Prior to joining Royal London, Hillier held several senior roles in Europe as head of International Equities with Kames Capital; Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at LV Asset Management; and Chief of International Equities with WestLB, Deutsche Asset Management and Schroders, creating an extensive, diverse record in Global Equities as well as developing strategic asset allocations.

According to Jupiter, the recent appointment of Hillier adds strong senior level experience with the intention of enhancing and growing Jupiter's UK and European equities capability and expanding their multi-regional equity platform. Jupiter also gained significant expansion of their nonprofit sector reach by acquiring Origin Asset Management's investment teams in 2025 and CCLA Investment Management in 2026. Matthew Beesley (CEO of Jupiter Asset Management) described that Hillier's leadership will play a critical role in delivering active, differentiated investment performance and will drive continued growth within a highly competitive marketplace for Jupiter Asset Management going forward.
