The two announced their nuptials via Instagram, where they posted photos showing off their wedding rings. Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, reportedly exchanged vows on August 11 in the coastal Portuguese town, with their five children present for the family occasion.

This comes after several years of rumors about the marriage of Cristiano Ronaldo's marriage. Ronaldo and Rodríguez began dating in 2016 after meeting while Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. Their relationship later became a major part of Rodríguez's Netflix series I Am Georgina.

The two got engaged on 11th August, 2025, which is exactly one year prior to their marriage. Rodriguez had posted a picture of her engagement ring on social media, sparking speculations about when the two would tie the knot.

Speculations about their wedding reached its peak just before the date of the marriage, with news of the couple getting married in the S Cathedral in Funchal, Madeira, Ronaldo's hometown. Fans had come in droves to the cathedral, but the supposed high-profile wedding did not happen there.
