Veriff appoints former Adyen executive Philippe de Passorio as CRO to accelerate enterprise expansion and global growth in AI-native identity verification.
Veriff, an AI-native identity verification firm, has hired Philippe de Passorio as its CRO. This move is aimed at guiding their global growth as the world's need for secure digital ID systems ramps up. This hiring signals a big part of Veriff's growth strategy. De Passorio will focus on expanding into large companies and pushing more regulated industries, like fintech and mobility, to adopt Veriff’s services. He'll work on defining their perfect customer type and improving collaboration among sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams.
Previously, de Passorio led North American sales at Adyen, building a hundred-person team that grew sales by double digits annually. Before that, he helped establish Adyen in France and Italy, turning them into successful markets for the company. So, he brings valuable experience in business growth and expansion to Veriff.
Talking about his new role, de Passiorio stressed how crucial identity infrastructure is to the digital economy. Fraud is getting way more sophisticated as AI advances, so trust and verification are super important now. He pointed out that companies need identity partners to not just ensure compliance but also help them grow and protect users. This shows where Veriff sees itself—the company is all about creating those safe digital spaces.
Kaarel Kotkas, Veriff's CEO, chimed in, noting that hiring de Passiorio is happening just as the company ramps up its growth plans. There's major demand in the US and Europe for what they offer, especially from industries where onboarding securely and stopping fraud really make a difference in boosting sales and building trust with customers. Business Honor views this appointment as a strong catalyst for Veriff’s global growth, strengthening enterprise expansion, market reach, and resilience amid rising fraud and regulation pressures.
