Juniper Networks Stock Faces Uncertainty Amid HPE AI Networking Integration

HPE’s $14B Juniper acquisition drives AI networking growth while raising execution risks for US investors and enterprise infrastructure portfolios.

Juniper Networks stock, now part of HPE AI Networking Integration, is still an important investment target in the US following the acquisition in 2024 for $14 billion. Analysts are keeping an eye on how Hewlett Packard Enterprise is integrating Juniper’s Mist AI and Apstra platforms to increase its margins while managing risks in the high-speed networking industry.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise says it is making good progress in integrating Juniper’s platforms into its operations. Currently, Juniper’s engineers are working in the Aruba Networking division of HPE, developing AI Ops capabilities. The acquisition creates a $10 billion addressable market in intent-based networking. HPE is also highlighting Juniper’s silicon photonics and AI-native routing capabilities, promising to reduce latency by up to 30% for hyperscalers such as Microsoft and Google. Analysts predict AI infrastructure will increase by 25% annually until 2028.

Elara Voss, a networking sector analyst at Elara Voss, said: "Juniper's AI-native routing solutions give HPE a timely competitive advantage in data center build-outs. Integration success will be key to margin expansion and shareholder value creation in fiscal 2026."

The acquisition will enable HPE to compete against Cisco and Arista in delivering AI-optimized networks. Juniper's pre-acquisition ARR for AI software subscriptions is more than $500 million, and software-centric margins were at 90%. The combined entity is targeting doubling these revenues through bundled offers. Previous market analyses highlighted Juniper's leadership in 400G and 800G port offerings for AI networks. Business Honor views HPE’s ongoing integration of Juniper as a strategic move, with US investors closely monitoring Mist AI adoption and AI networking milestones to assess potential growth and portfolio impact.
