The Duke and Duchess of Sussex turn to a trusted Hollywood PR firm to strengthen U.S. communications and brand strategy amid ongoing staff changes.
A royal source confirmed the news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have retained Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis, a top Hollywood public relations firm, after a series of departures from their staff. This decision indicates that the royal couple is seeking quality PR advice from the United States, a move that is expected to give the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a fresh start.
As cited by PEOPLE, the bicoastal agency will assist in Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As ever, as well as in their overall communication efforts in the United States. Sunshine Sachs will assist in this endeavor with the internal staff of the Sussexes, consisting of Liam Maguire, who is the director of communications to the U.K. and Europe, in charge of Prince Harry’s communication efforts.
“The reunion is a testament to the long-standing relationships that the Sussexes have had with Sunshine Sachs,” a spokesperson explained. “Sunshine Sachs had been representing Meghan while she was on Suits, and they have worked on a variety of other projects over the years, starting from 2017, when the couple moved from royal life to launching their own endeavors in the U.S. One of the co-presidents of the firm, Keleigh Thomas Morgan, was actually a guest at their royal wedding in 2018,” it added.
Notably, this entails a shift in the public relations structure following the departure of Meredith Maines, the former Chief Communications Officer, who left in December after serving in that capacity for only months. However, this departure appears to fall in line with a series of resignations in the Sussex family’s public relations team over the last two years. The most recent departure includes James Holt, who serves as executive director of Archewell.
