Juniper Green Energy raises ₹20.39 billion in order to expand wind, solar, and hybrid projects across India.
An independent power producer, Juniper Green Energy, has raised ₹20.39 billion in loan funding in order to support renewable energy projects in India. The finance shows lenders' major confidence in the company's growth goals and execution abilities in the field of renewable energy.
The financing was organized by a group of domestic and foreign financial institutions, including the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID), HSBC Bank, DBS Bank India, Barclays Bank, and Aseem Infrastructure Finance (AIFL). NaBFID allocated ₹25.66 billion to build the 90 MW Juniper Green Kite Wind Power Project in Gujarat. This project will increase the company's wind energy presence in the state.
HSBC Bank provided ₹4.08 billion in loan finance for the 75-MW Juniper Green Beam Eight Solar-Wind Hybrid Power Project in Maharashtra, which is now under development. DBS Bank India and Barclays Bank have approved medium-term financing of ₹3 billion and ₹2.5 billion, respectively, with three-year terms. Aseem Infrastructure Finance supplied ₹5.15 billion of long-term financing for the 75 MW Juniper Green ETA Five Solar-Wind Hybrid Power Project in Maharashtra.
Along with funding-based loans, Juniper Green Energy has increased its general credit limits with Federal Bank and Axis Bank. This approach is expected to improve finances and increase operational flexibility when many tasks are completed together. The latest fundraise comes after the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) received ₹17.39 billion in debt financing in August 2025. Juniper Green Energy's total property now includes nearly 10 GW of utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid projects throughout India. In this 1.3 GW is operational then 3.8 GW is under construction and 4.8 GW has been granted. It continues to build a future ready platform that meets with India's future clean energy and carbon reduction goals.
