A. Lange & Söhne has reissued one of its most iconic and singular creations, unveiling the Lange 1 Daymatic in a refined Honeygold edition. First introduced in 2010, the Daymatic offered a fascinating alternative take on the iconic Lange 1, mirroring its asymmetrical layout and replacing the power-reserve indicator with a retrograde day-of-the-week display. Since slipping quietly from the catalogue several years ago, the model returns in a highly-anticipated style, now clad in a rich, luxurious brown-and-Honeygold colorway.

The latest Lange 1 Daymatic Honeygold case measures 39.5mm and is made from the proprietary Honeygold alloy of the brand, which boasts a unique glow and impressive hardness. The 925-silver dial comes in a rich brown finish, matched by the date discs and Honeygold hands and markers. Linked by a taupe alligator leather strap, the watch exudes a harmonious monochromatic aesthetic that feels at once modern and deeply rooted in Glashütte tradition.

Inside, the automatic L021.1 caliber drives the display, providing a 50-hour power reserve and displaying Lange's typical craftsmanship. The movement's gold rotor is mounted with a platinum rim to efficiently capture the winding, and open-worked construction adds further visual depth. A corrector recessed into the case makes adjusting the weekday display easier, while the signature date pusher sits on the left side of the case.

Limited to just 250 individually numbered pieces, the return of the Daymatic underlines how A. Lange & Söhne is committed to refined complications and elevated design.
