MANTRA Launches MultiVM Blockchain Upgrade for Real World Asset Tokenization

MANTRA upgrades mainnet with EVM and CosmWasm to boost compliant real world asset tokenization.

The mainnet of MANTRA, a Layer 1 blockchain designed for real world assets (RWAs), has undergone a significant upgrade. With this update, MANTRA becomes the first blockchain to handle CosmWasm and EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) smart contracts natively. This technical breakthrough positions MANTRA as the first true MultiVM Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for tokenizing real-world assets.

The upgrade is more than a technical achievement it strengthens MANTRA’s role in regulated tokenized finance. Thanks to its VASP license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), MANTRA can now offer a fully compliant platform for developers, institutions, and investors. This means traditional financial assets can be securely and transparently brought on-chain.

With EVM compatibility, developers can now deploy Solidity-based decentralized apps (dApps) directly on MANTRA Chain without changes. They can also fork existing DeFi protocols to create RWA-specific solutions. Interoperability with other EVM chains will follow soon. Unlike many blockchains that use smart contracts to manage compliance, MANTRA integrates regulatory rules directly into its core protocol. This gives institutions greater trust, combining regulatory clarity with developer flexibility. The upgrade comes during a growth phase for MANTRA. It recently partnered with Inveniam to build a global RWA ecosystem to support long-term growth. MANTRA has also strengthened its decentralization, adding Binance, Nansen, and Inveniam as validators.

Agentic, a two-day conference centered on digital currency and future finance, will be held in Abu Dhabi by MANTRA next month. Now that these foundations have been established, MANTRA is concentrating on onboarding asset issuers, expanding adoption, and showing the potential of compliant, tokenized finance on a global scale.
