Tara Long takes charge of FM's tech strategy to boost operational efficiency and client experience.
FM, one of the nation's most prominent commercial property insurers, has appointed Tara Long as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Tara will have responsibility for the company's technology strategy, making sure FM possesses the proper tools, infrastructure, and know-how to serve its clients and achieve sustainable growth. Tara Long comes aboard at FM following a tenured career at MassMutual, where she held the positions of Chief Technology Officer and Head of Enterprise Infrastructure Services. As Chief Technology Officer and Head of Enterprise Infrastructure Services at MassMutual, she was accountable for keeping systems available globally, secure, and scalable. Her rich experience also encompasses multiple CIO positions at MassMutual and previous roles at Gerber Scientific Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In her new role as FM's CIO, Tara Long will oversee the company's digital transformation, including enhancing operational efficiency and overall client experience. Chief Operating Officer Randy Hodge of FM shared that he has full confidence in Tara to spearhead technology initiatives that will set FM and its clients up for success in the future. "Tara has vast expertise in digital transformations and large-scale operational enhancements," Hodge said. Tara Long replaces Srini Krishnamurthy, who has been appointed Senior Vice President for FM India. Long has an MBA with a Management Information Systems (MIS) concentration from Western New England University and a degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College. FM, founded close to two centuries ago, is a mutual insurance organization with proficiency in managing property risk. The firm serves among the globe's largest organizations, including numerous Fortune 500 organizations, to assist them in avoiding property loss and maintaining business continuity.
