Asos enhances its supply chain management with Celonis Process Intelligence for real-time insights and efficiency.
Asos, a global fashion retailer, has uplifted its end-to-end management of the supply chain through integrating the Celonis Process Intelligence platform, with the objectives of simplifying business and getting real-time insights into its overall supply chain. The platform helps Asos interlink its functions such as inbound supply chain, logistics, outbound delivery, returns, and product operations and gain an overall perspective of its processes. Using Celonis, Asos is able to monitor thousands of SKUs and containers from the start of a purchase order to warehouse placement, enhancing order fulfillment effectiveness. The technology also provides valuable visibility into third-party carrier performance and returns to maximize these supply chain areas of prime importance.
“With Celonis, we’ve connected our entire supply chain—from intake and inbound to outbound and returns—enabling teams to break down silos, streamline processes, cut costs, and deliver the latest trends to customers faster,” said Laurence Moore, Head of Strategic Projects, Supply Chain at Asos. The platform also enablesmerchandising teams to track product performance, price direction, and returns, which improves inventory planning. Asos is gaining the ability to adapt to shifting market conditions and buying patterns through this integration of technologies. Its supply chain is being made responsive as well as agile.
Asos is also looking to utilize Celonis to other processes within its business, including warehouse management and order management, to better optimize operations. Asos is part of a company that is using advanced technologies to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency. Giant Eagle chains, for instance, have implemented Manhattan Active Warehouse Management across its network of distribution centers, while Guitar Center has implemented modules of Relex Solutions for better inventory planning and management. These advances are part of a pattern building among retailers to use data-driven insights to drive their supply chains for maximum optimization and competitiveness in the ever-changing retail space.
