Adam Sandler Returns with Star-Studded Sequel, Happy Gilmore 2

Happy Gilmore 2 will debut on Netflix on July 25 and has an original cast and cameos from celebrities.

"Happy Gilmore" is being attempted by Adam Sandler again with the help of some of the most famous celebrities. During Netflix's Tudum event on Saturday, May 31, the streamer dropped a new teaser for the comedian's much expected sequel, "Happy Gilmore 2."

Beginning with the first shot in the teaser, where Eric André, Margaret Qualley and Martin Herlihy watch Happy Gilmore fall flat on his face while playing the game golf, the footage hinted at a film full of cameos. Later, Ben Stiller reprises his role as orderly Hal, Travis Kelce makes an appearance sharing the space with Bad Bunny and a number of actual TV personalities, including Stephen A. There is a montage in which Smith and Ken Jennings appear.

Short snippets of appearances from Becky Lynch, Post Malone, Eminem and others are also included in the trailer. Christopher McDonald (playing Shooter McGavin again) and Julie Bowen are the main actors in Happy Gilmore 2, along with Adam Sandler. In interviews, the comedian has hinted at several of the film’s surprise appearances. During a December episode of the Dan Patrick Show, Adam Sandler shared that he spent a day filming with Eminem, who delivered "a million things we can use." Sandler added that he has known Eminem for a long time and called him "a great guy."

Sandler hired Qualley because of the fact that she is a huge fan of the previous movie even though she has said that her role in "Happy Gilmore 2" is small. During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Margaret Qualley joked that her husband, Jack Antonoff, had overstated her golf abilities to help her land a role in Happy Gilmore 2. She teased, "He lied for the sake of the family," and admitted she had never played golf before, calling herself "terrible." The film is set to be released on July 25, 2025.
