Industry leader brings extensive experience to enhance Upgrad's talent strategy and organizational growth.
Edtech sector major Upgrad has appointed Amit Mehta as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. Previously, Mehta was with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) where he had a key role in formulating policies on HR, talent management at the group and team level, and has worked with diverse teams.
Mehta will play a significant role in accelerating the efforts of the company in terms of building a strong and innovative workforce as he moves forward to his new role at Upgrad. His rich experience in human resources, particularly in a fast-paced environment like HUL, positions him well to leverage talent strategy and see that it is aligned with its aggressive growth objectives.
As Upgrad works to scale operations and revamp employee engagement to address the emerging needs of the rapidly shifting education landscape, Mehta's great experience in leadership development and organizational transformation will be at the heart of the company's growth. Some of his first initiatives are likely to be those that spearhead employee growth and retention besides a work collaborative environment.
"I am excited to join Upgrad and looking forward to contributing to a culture that nurtures talent and learning," Mehta said. His appointment marks the commitment that Upgrad is set to make in investing in its human capital as it looks to expand further in the very competitive edtech space.
With Mehta leading the helm of HR at Upgrad, the company is poised and better positioned to sustain its role in education technology and keep leading as it empowers learners across its mission.
