Orca Security expands in Australia and New Zealand, responding to growing demand for cloud security
The first-ever agentless cloud security company, Orca Security, today announced substantial expansion in Australia and New Zealand based upon a growing need in this region for cloud security that truly offers strong security. In efforts to further drive growth, Avi Shua has moved from Israel and now serves as a co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of the firm based in Australia. The company also reported a strategic partnership with Wavelink, an Australian IT distributor specializing in cybersecurity and mobility solutions.
According to Grand View Research, the Australian cloud computing market is expected to witness a compound annual growth rate of 16.1% from 2024 to 2030, and will reach $1.68 billion in revenue. Orca has already seen more than 100% year-over-year growth in Australia and New Zealand, which is supported by an increasingly high number of certified partners.
With Wavelink, it expands its Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and reseller partners' capability to proactively address a broad myriad of cyber threats. "As awareness of the critical nature of cybersecurity increases, clear visibility into what cyber risks organizations are really subject to is fundamental," said Avi Shua.
Orca's partner-centric approach has led to the registration of various deals along with partner engagement. The company has recently launched a new partner portal that will give access to streamlined sales resources, training, and advanced analytics to help optimize partner performance. According to Michael Fisher from Wavelink, this partnership is going to deliver unmatched visibility and control over cloud environments.
