Wiliot's New AI Tool Promises to Transform How Businesses Interact with Products and Supply Chains
In the latest advancement in retail technology, Wiliot has introduced WiliBot, a groundbreaking generative AI (GenAI) chatbot designed to streamline and enhance supply chain management. This innovation marks a significant leap forward in integrating ambient IoT data with AI capabilities.
WiliBot empowers companies to engage in natural language conversations with their IoT-connected products. Retailers can now ask WiliBot crucial questions like: “What’s the shelf life of this product?” “How did it get to the store?” “Which product should I stock next?” and “What is the carbon footprint of this item?” This technology offers a new level of transparency and insight into the supply chain.
Tal Tamir, CEO of Wiliot, highlights the synergy between ambient IoT and generative AI. “Ambient IoT generates extensive data about everyday items, while GenAI interprets this data in meaningful ways. Together, they provide a comprehensive view of products, materials, and supply chains,” he explains.
Wiliot’s Ambient Data Platform utilizes small, self-powered IoT Pixels that attach to products, packaging, and more. These Pixels transmit information such as location, temperature, and carbon footprint to the Wiliot cloud, where AI and machine learning algorithms analyze the data to detect supply chain events and generate actionable insights.
Currently being piloted with major enterprises, WiliBot will soon be available more widely, offering businesses and eventually consumers the ability to interact with products through mobile apps. This integration will allow users to inquire about product details, quality, and sustainability in real-time.
Wiliot’s innovative approach bridges the gap between data and actionable intelligence, promising a future where products can "speak" directly to those who manage and consume them.
