Oracle Integrates AT&T IoT Connectivity into Enterprise Communications Platform

The integration extends across all OCI regions in the U.S., providing a foundation for new industry applications ranging from consumer services to industrial operations

Oracle has integrated AT&T’s IoT connectivity and network APIs into its Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP), enhancing its industry cloud applications with reliable and secure IoT device management. Announced on Monday, this partnership allows Oracle’s customers to connect and manage IoT devices on the AT&T network within a single platform, streamlining operations and eliminating the need for complex integrations and multiple contracts.

The ECP, supported by AT&T, offers near real-time communications and IoT connectivity, powered by the robust Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This unified communication and edge architecture enables businesses to leverage real-time data intelligence, facilitating the development of innovative services across various sectors. The integration extends across all OCI regions in the U.S., providing a foundation for new industry applications ranging from consumer services to industrial operations. Potential use cases include automated utility grid management, enhanced telehealth services, and communications-enabled restaurant operations.

A significant example of this collaboration is the use of AT&T’s FirstNet and ECP in Oracle’s Public Safety suite. This integration supports secure communications for critical components like dispatch command centers and real-time camera feeds for first responders. Oracle Communications EVP Andrew Morawski highlighted the partnership's potential to transform communications across industries, while AT&T’s SVP Sarita Rao emphasized the co-creation aspect, which simplifies network and application integration, driving performance and reliability gains.
