Strategic Funding Boosts Kami’s Mission to Revolutionize Classroom Engagement Worldwide
Kami, a prominent player in classroom engagement and teacher productivity, has announced a significant strategic investment from BV Investment Partners. With over 40 million users across 2,000 US districts and 180 countries, Kami is set to enhance its global footprint thanks to this new partnership.
The investment from BV, a private equity firm known for its focus on software and tech-enabled services, will propel Kami’s growth and expand its reach. BV brings a wealth of expertise and a robust network, having supported various successful edtech and founder-led ventures. This collaboration is poised to elevate Kami’s impact, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of classroom engagement solutions.
Kami will use the funds to deepen its focus on the US market while also broadening its international presence. The company will continue to operate from Auckland, New Zealand, and is set to open a new office in Boston. Despite these changes, all four founders will remain actively involved in the business.
Hengjie Wang, co-founder and CEO of Kami, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “Kami has always been ambitious, and this investment allows us to further our mission to transform the global edtech landscape. BV is the perfect partner to help us scale and achieve our goals.”
Jason Kustka, Managing Director at BV, highlighted the alignment between BV’s expertise and Kami’s vision: “Kami’s commitment to improving modern learning environments positions it uniquely to lead in classroom engagement. We look forward to working with the Kami team to drive their mission forward and enhance educational experiences worldwide.”
