Yasmeen Muhtaseb is promoted to Chief Operating Officer for EY's MENA region after 25 years at the firm.
Yasmeen Muhtaseb marked a career milestone in her work life at EY when she was promoted to the status of Chief Operating Officer, MENA region. Her elevation comes after she marked her 25th year at EY, an impressively long tenure which began just after the completion of university studies in Canada. Muhtaseb has gradually ascended through the ranks of EY and has been a partner since 2012, while assuming various leadership roles in the MENA business, including the Deputy Leader of Consulting role. Muhtaseb's career at EY has been characterized by her leadership in consulting, where she has played a significant role in the firm's growth and regional expansion. As COO for MENA, which she describes as the "most vibrant environment" in the global professional services sector, she will now oversee EY's business operations and lead a team of around 9,000 staff across approximately 20 countries.
Muhtaseb will focus on operational efficiency, growth, and improved client service in her new role. She also commits to investing in employee development and fostering a diverse, inclusive workforce that mirrors the communities EY serves. "My 25-year journey with EY taught me the importance of adaptability and collaborative growth," Muhtaseb said.
