Scott Phillips - Founder and CEO

Scott Phillips is the Founder and CEO of StarFish Medical. Scott Phillips brings rich experience across different industries, such as developing lithium batteries, instrumentation in UV spectroscopy, and designing high-fidelity audio speakers. Scott Phillips has a B.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia. Scott Phillips transformed his company, StarFish Medical, from an unknown design firm to an international medical device design house singularly focused on the medical field. Scott is very active in the broader life sciences and technology community. Past Chair and current member of LifeSciences British Columbia board. He also serves on the 2022 VIATEC Board of Directors and is a Fellow of The Canadian Academy of Engineering. Among his achievements are the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2017 Pacific Awards in the Technology category and the 2017 VIATEC Technology Champion award. Beyond his professional commitments, Scott volunteers for Junior Achievement, Entrepreneurs Organization, and the University of British Columbia.
