Air India Express and Akasa Air also stopped their Riyadh flights after reports of an explosion at the city’s airport. Both airlines cancelled their services until October 10, 2026. The cancellations came as airlines grew concerned about the safety of flights to Saudi Arabia.

“India condemns the attacks over the past few days targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries,” stated India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

IndiGo cancelled its Riyadh flights until October 9, 2026, after reports of attacks at Saudi airports. Passengers were asked to contact IndiGo for updates. They could also check for alternative flights or change their travel dates.
