The Jabra Videobar PanaCast U30 is a portable USB webcam designed to make small meeting rooms and huddle spaces ready for hybrid collaboration. This product supports up to six people and enhances Jabra's mission of providing affordable video conferencing solutions for all organizations with flexible working arrangements in multiple meeting room sizes.

According to Holger Reisinger, Jabra's SVP of Video Business Unit, this product fills a void in today's workplace infrastructure. "Many of the key discussions occur in small meeting rooms," Reisinger noted. "As team members begin to support hybrid work, there is an increased demand for more of these meeting areas to be equipped and ready for meetings. The PanaCast U30 also simplifies the "Bring Your Own Device" experience through a single cable connection (USB-C). When users enter a room, they connect their device to the PanaCast U30 and start using their preferred meeting software without any technological issues. The initial screen before connecting to Jabra PanaCast U30 will contain preloaded wallpapers with simple onscreen directions providing fast installation and lowering the need for additional support from IT departments. In a future software release, Jabra’s plans are to include the ability for customers to upload their own wallpaper images using the Jabra Plus Application.

The video performance of the system was developed with the unique requirements of small rooms in mind when creating the 120-degree horizontal field-of-view so that all meeting participants seated around a table are fully visible no matter how the room is shaped. Other technologies utilized to enhance the capability of video images are Intelligent Zoom, Virtual Director, and Dynamic Composition. These technologies automatically track conversation participants and adjust the camera accordingly so that the frame containing the speaker is always clear throughout a meeting.

The audio quality is able to replicate the level of quality offered by the video. There are 6 strategically located microphones integrated within the Video Bar speaker that work together to deliver full duplex audio to/from a meeting participant located anywhere in a room and are capable of producing continuity when answering participants both inside and outside of a physical meeting location. Numerous mounting types (wall mounts, VESA mounts, and tabletop stands) can be used to mount the PanaCast U30 so that it can be conveniently used in different kinds of rooms. An innovative packaging design allows installers to access and configure critical components of the system without removing it from its box. Integrated cable management and on-device guidance provide for clean, repeatable installations in multiple locations.

The complexity of IT management has been significantly reduced by the introduction of Jabra's centralized control interface, Jabra Plus. This provides teams with the ability to view the health of devices, push out firmware updates and manage multiple rooms from one dashboard.
