With the recent confirmation of an updated Legion Y700 tablet, Lenovo looks to continue its commitment to mobile gaming with a new addition to their line of gaming tablets. A teaser for the upcoming tablet shared by Lenovo's Weibo page generated a lot of buzz among the Android gaming community throughout Asia. The new Legion Y700 is promising a host of improvements over its older model, as the previous iteration was a huge success due to its portability and gaming-oriented features.
Digital Chat Station has provided some very exciting leaks of information regarding the device, with sources revealing very strong signs that this upgrade will set a new standard for portable gaming tablets. The upcoming device is expected to have an 8.8” display (LCD), a 3K resolution, and a refresh rate of 165Hz which gamers will appreciate for its high-quality, fluid visual experience. The tablet itself is expected to contain Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This new processor is a significant upgrade over the previous model, providing the most powerful mobile processing chip currently available.
According to Lenovo, while they have not officially provided any specifics on the specification of their new tablet, they have provided some details regarding the upcoming launch. Reports from different sources indicate that the release of this product should occur sometime in March in China but that more details will be becoming available shortly thereafter for gamers. This product is coming out at an interesting time for smaller form factors of gaming tablets, given the continued growth within the gaming community for portable gaming devices that provide a lot of performance and portability in a small footprint.
