GLS University partners with SAE Institute in order to offer India’s first B.Design program in animation, VFX, and game development.
GLS University is working with Australia's SAE Institute to create a new Global B.Design (Hons.) program in Animation & VFX and Game Development. This four-year university program is the first in India to use SAE's renowned creative media program. The announcement also marks the SAE Institute's first formal launch into India. SAE, a member of the Navitas group, has over 50 years of experience in creative media education and maintains 47 campuses in 20 countries. Its courses are organized with project based instruction, which is known in sectors like animation, games, film, audio, and virtual production.
It focuses on direct, practical training in order to teach students the tools and methods used in professional studios. The program aims to prepare students for both current and future industry needs in animation, visual effects, and gaming, according to university administrators. Students will also have a chance to get worldwide experience through international immersion and academic exchange programs. Graduates will receive a B.Design (Hons.) degree from GLS University as well as a professional certification from SAE Institute, giving them an advantage in the worldwide creative media sector.
Students can access GLS University's network for internships and projects, and also the worldwide SAE community, that provides guidance, networking, and collaboration options. During the launch, GLS University and Navitas manager stated that the program aims to connect Indian creative media education with worldwide standards while developing skilled individuals. The partnership places GLS University as a leader in preparing students for international employment in animation, visual effects, and game development.
