Joseph Adu is appointed as the new CISO in order to improve security and compliance while advancing autism and IDD care technology.
An established supplier of autism and IDD care software, CentralReach has appointed Joseph Adu as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) after its purchase of SpectrumAi. In the new position, Adu will manage the business's IT and security operations, supporting the business to achieve the highest standards for data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance. His duties include planning IT and security investments, improving programs like HIPAA and SOC 2 Type 2, and creating policies for ethical and accountable use of AI and machine learning in CentralReach's products.
He had previously served as the SpectrumAi's CTO and has 15 years of experience in technology and cybersecurity across healthcare, education, and technology businesses. He is known for creating secure, accessible technologies in quickly expanding and highly regulated sectors. "Joe is an ideal tech and security leader whose technological and business abilities allow businesses to be creative while maintaining strong security," said CentralReach CEO Chris Sullens. He stated that “securing sensitive health data is still the main challenge for the business, and that Adu's experience would help develop important safety efforts.”
Before joining CentralReach, Adu supported SpectrumAi to create a secure SaaS platform as well as the basis for machine learning methods to improve clinical data collection in mental health. Before that, he worked as CISO at PathAI, where he built an ISO 27001-certified security management system and supported significant FDA and enterprise compliance milestones. This new appointment suggests the business's dedication to transforming EMR into an AI-based, agentic system designed to improve autism and intellectual disabilities treatment. This supports in improving its goal to offer care providers efficient, secure, and dependable technology.
