Smart AI code reviews and CLI support streamline DevOps for faster, safer software delivery.
CodeRabbit, code review software using AI, has added support for command line interface (CLI), widening its use further for developers working in different environments. This is in line with DevOps trends via smooth integration into processes, offering automated code review within the very Git-based codebases. The platform, integrating code graph analysis and AI, now also features auto-generating unit tests and pre-merge custom checks, assisting DevOps teams to achieve high test coverage and code quality. With these features, CodeRabbit guarantees that the code is fully checked before it reaches production, minimizing the chance of bringing bugs or vulnerabilities.
Another major update is the addition of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) client, enabling the platform to retrieve relevant outside documentation—such as feature requirements and design specs—directly from tools like Jira or Linear. This context information improves the relevance and precision of code reviews by bringing them into alignment with business and engineering objectives. CodeRabbit can integrate with IDEs and now CLIs, says CEO Harjot Gill, providing developers with flexibility to work with the tools of their choice without sacrificing review quality. More significantly, by bringing to the surface routine coding issues, CodeRabbit enables human reviewers to concentrate on subtler logic and architecture decisions—optimizing the DevOps cycle.
As more code is written using AI-generated code, the demand for effective validation grows. CodeRabbit meets this by using specialized AI models specifically designed to identify errors in automatically generated code—a rising issue in high-speed DevOps environments. With more than 8,000 customers and support for 100,000+ open source projects, CodeRabbit is becoming an essential piece in today's DevOps pipelines, providing faster, safer, and more trustworthy software delivery through smart, automated review.
