Eric Freeman will lead WRITER’s security strategy, enhancing AI security for Global 2000 clients.
WRITER, a top agentic AI platform for businesses, today announced the hiring of Eric Freeman as its first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With experience scaling security programs in high-growth SaaS and infrastructure businesses, Freeman will be responsible for WRITER's end-to-end security strategy, focusing on developing secure, enterprise-level AI solutions for clients worldwide. Freeman's position is critical as WRITER continues to empower Global 2000 organizations to develop, deploy, and manage AI agents at scale. His technical knowledge will strengthen the company's security framework, making AI agents not just potent but also extremely secure. Freeman will push the deployment of advanced security features, including zero-trust and least-privilege models, to shield AI systems and corporate data.
The AI world is changing fast, and so are its associated security threats. Companies must address the challenges of data protection, agent control, and non-human identity management. Freeman's vision will enable WRITER to lead the charge in "secure-by-default" AI by emphasizing ongoing testing, automatic analysis, and proactive security improvement with the aid of AI itself. Co-Founder and CEO of WRITER, May Habib, underscored security as the focus in the AI platform of the company. "Security is not an afterthought, it's the non-negotiable building block of our platform," she explained. Freeman's joining at this juncture is timely as WRITER is set to reaffirm the safety and trust of its AI-driven systems.
With more than a decade's worth of experience in blockchain security, SaaS, and fintech, Freeman has been in senior positions at Patreon, Blockdaemon, and BlockFi. At WRITER, he will build on the company's resolve to deliver a secure platform that the top enterprises globally can put their trust in.
