Mrinalini Srinivasan joins Castrol India as CFO, bringing global experience and strategic leadership.
Castrol India Ltd has announced the appointment of Mrinalini Srinivasan as its new Chief Financial Officer which will be effective 28 July 2025. She succeeds Deepesh Baxi. Deepesh stepped down in March 2025. With over 17 years of experience at Procter & Gamble (P&G) India, Mrinalini brings extensive leadership and financial experience to her new role where she will play an important part in advancing Castrol’s financial plans and conversion efforts.
Mrinalini has a strong track record in business forecasting, planning, regulatory compliance and commercial finance while having worked across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Most recently, she held dual roles as CFO for the Hygiene and Health division and Group Controller at P&G India. She has become known for her financial leadership as well as her lifetime support of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) activities. A gold medallist from SGSITS Indore and an alumnus of FMS Delhi, Mrinalini's academic and professional achievements shows a dedication to perfection.
Kedar Lele, Managing Director of Castrol India has welcomed Mrinalini Srinivasan to the leadership team by stating the important role of the finance function during the company’s continuing change. He noted that her experience in managing complex business environments and aligning cross functional teams would greatly benefit the organization.
To enable a smooth transition, Mrinalini is set to cooperate with temporary CFO Vishal Thakkar in August. Chairman of the Board, Rakesh Makhija, also permitted her appointment showing her experience and balanced leadership style as essential to strengthening the company’s foundation and driving sustainable, continuing growth. In response, Mrinalini conveyed her excitement about the new role, describing it as an honor to join a company known for its strong values and enduring legacy.
