Coffee Mortality Intake Risk Lower

Coffee’s natural compounds, together with caffeine and polyphenols, possess anti-inflammatory qualities

A recent study published in the BMC Public Health Journal highlights the life-saving potential of coffee consumption for individuals leading a sedentary lifestyle. The study was conducted by researchers from the Medical College of Soochow University among 10,000 individuals in the US over a period of 13 years.

The results uncover a significant correlation: non-coffee drinkers who spend six or extra hours a day sitting, face a 60% higher chance of death in comparison to their coffee-consuming counterparts in similar sedentary situations. It was observed that individuals who incorporated coffee into their daily lives experienced a significant reduction in mortality rates, with a 24% lower threat of death. The lead researcher underscored that the merits of consuming coffee are manifold in improving the survival rate in a sedentary lifestyle. He pointed out that coffee’s natural compounds, together with caffeine and polyphenols possess anti-inflammatory qualities that would mitigate the detrimental results of prolonged sitting. Additionally, an individual whose coffee intake was comparatively high was shown to have experienced a 33% decreased threat of death, including lower risks of cardiac arrests.

The study concludes that, coffee consumption mitigates metabolic problems, a common consequence of a sedentary lifestyle. However, the definite mechanisms underlying coffee’s life-saving properties remain uncertain.
