BMW M3 Electric Version  Promises Supercar Performance, Set for 2026-2027 Launch

BMW's Electric M3 to Set-up Quad-Motor System, Targeting a Goal Under 3 Second 0-60 MPH Acceleration.

BMW known for developing great classic sports cars, the manufacturer BMW has developed a performance strategy for its next electric vehicles.

BMW M Division CEO Frank Van Meel shared details of the upcoming all-electric BMW M3, making its debut by 2026 OR 2027 in a recent interview. Van Meel declared, “The electric M3 will beat everything that you have seen.”

The electric M3, which is built based on the Neue Klasse sedan platform, representing entry into high-performance EV market. It will have quad-electric motors setup aimed at providing performance similar to that of a supercar and unparalleled handling. 

Frank Weber, Head of Engineering and R&D at BMW highlighted that thee electric M3’s potential power output of up to 1,341 BHP to 1341 BHP, highlighting advanced battery technology and 800V design.

BMW’s focus on the quad -motor system is to optimize drive control and vehicle performance. He dismissed gimmicks and prioritized hyperfast acceleration— targeting less than 3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph.

BMW plans to launch a lighter rear wheel drive variation offering approximately 670 BHP and accommodating a range of driving styles.

The Electric M3 aims to set new performance standards and redefine electric mobility with BMW distinctive driving dynamics. As BMW prepares to reveal its electrified powerhouse, launch an exciting new chapter in automotive innovation, expectations are set high.
