Complete Dairy Operations Solutions
Forage Laboratory Services
The Dairy One Forage Lab is known for quality analyses and outstanding customer service, working with diverse clients around the world. It handles samples from individual producers, agriservice professionals, consultants, veterinarians, universities, and even zoos, catering to the ever-growing needs of modern agriculture. Combining the new technologies with the old methods, the lab ensures rapid and accurate results.
One of its major services is near infrared reflectance spectroscopy, a high-tech technique to quickly analyze forages and grains. AOAC-accredited NIR technology enables the simultaneous analysis of multiple components with results typically available within 24 hours. The most extensive NIR analysis available comes from Dairy One, built on more than 35 years of experience and a massive sample database to develop calibration. Options also exist to supplement NIR calibration for samples where this is not applicable with traditional wet chemistry methods, which provide reliable nutrient composition results within two business days, or longer for specialized analyses.
DHI Records & Milk Analysis
The organization provides DHI records services to over 2,000 members and over 550,000 cows located in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Cooperative flexibility options will be tailored toward meeting specific dairy business needs. The service of Dairy One's DHI is fashioned to work with both a basic and a comprehensive program, allowing producers to make selections based on an operation level that best suits.
Members can choose either to obtain lab sample results or if they want further data gathering, they can include management reports that give herd performance feedback. Monthly tests are mostly the most common approach, although Dairy One will accommodate farm needs by scheduling a test to be conducted any time there is a demand and that is convenient for them. That way, dairy producers obtain the best information possible to decide on ways to improve herd management.
Integrated Farming Solutions
Integrated Farming Solutions (IFS), aims at ensuring higher accuracy and efficiency in dairy operations by providing a complete range of Dairy One services for both in-barn and off-barn jobs. The IFS group has expertise in sales, installation, and support for herd management software, feed management software, and various other technology products like camera and network solutions.
These services are in addition to the valuable support IFS offers to the software used in Dairy One's DHI and field services. The team collaborates with industry leaders to bring cutting-edge technology and tools to farms, empowering them with the resources needed to optimize their operations.
IFS believe that data is a very important component of making an informed, strategic decision. While collecting data is good, they help farms turn that data into actionable insights to help farm managers make more effective decisions that improve herd performance and overall efficiency. Their expertise ensures that farms stay ahead with the latest tools and technology to manage and grow their operations.
