In today’s fast-evolving aviation sector, resilience is driven by being well-prepared, compliant, and adaptable. aviaCONsult empowers its clients to achieve precisely that, consistently delivering on time with a 100% on-time delivery rate while maintaining high quality standards. Whether training teams, designing compliant procedures, or managing complex projects, aviaCONsult combines deep technical knowledge with precise project management. Its recent work in cross-border airspace integration and migration to performance-based navigation highlights the company’s commitment to sustainable, safe, and future-proof aviation solutions.
Interview Highlights
aviaCONsult offers a wide range of services, including project management, technical consulting, and operational support. Which service or solution offered by aviaCONsult has seen the most growth in demand over the past few years, and how has the market evolved in response to those needs?
The strongest growth has been in Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) design, particularly in relation to regulatory compliance, including EU Regulation 373/2017 and ICAO PANS-OPS. As aviation modernizes, clients increasingly seek assistance with Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) procedures, airspace restructuring, and compliance management. There is a rising demand for services that combine IFP design expertise with air traffic management and change management to align organizations with evolving oversight frameworks and user-oriented procedures. The market has shifted from ad-hoc support to long-term partnerships, where clients rely on aviaCONsult for both technical delivery and strategic regulatory guidance.
What specific qualities or methodologies do you believe distinguish aviaCONsult from competitors in the aviation consulting space, and how do you measure the long-term impact of your services on client operations?
aviaCONsult distinguishes itself through three core pillars:
1. Regulatory Precision – Every deliverable is benchmarked against ICAO or FAA Standards and in Europe especially, in alignment with EU Regulation 373/2017. We ensure clients achieve not just compliance, but also operational resilience.
2. Project Management Discipline – We apply structured and very focused methodologies, integrating risk management, stakeholder engagement, and quality control at every stage.
3. Client-Centric Innovation – Our services are designed with adaptability in mind, enabling clients to seamlessly transition to new technologies and operational models.
We measure long-term impact through tangible outcomes, improved safety, accessibility, reduced inefficiencies, increased resilience, and client satisfaction, as well as successful regulatory audits. Many partnerships evolve into multi-year collaborations due to measurable value in both compliance and performance.
AviaCONsult boasts expertise in instrument flight procedure design and regulatory compliance. How do you continuously update your team's knowledge and practices to stay ahead of the evolving regulations, and what impact has this had on client success stories?
Continuous professional development is a core standard at aviaCONsult. Our consultants undergo regular training aligned. As we are certified as service provider flight procedure design by the German Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Navigation Services according to EU Regulation 2017/373 our training and refresher program is audited and quality controlled. We’ve implemented a robust quality management system focused on technical expertise as a key quality assurance criterion. We stay updated on the latest ICAO, EASA, and EUROCONTROL developments and actively contribute to working groups and forums. This proactive approach allows us to anticipate regulatory changes, not just react to them. The impact on clients is significant: they achieve faster approvals, avoid costly delays, and are often the first to benefit from new operational concepts like modified airspaces and advanced PBN procedures.
In recent years, the aviation sector has been undergoing digital transformation. How has aviaCONsult incorporated digital tools and technologies into its consulting practices to help clients adapt to these changes?
Digital transformation is central to our service evolution. We use a state-of-the-art procedure design platform, with performance and project monitoring customized to each client's needs and capabilities. These are provided through classic applications that help visualize regulatory compliance, training progress, and operational outcomes. By adopting these digital solutions, aviaCONsult enables clients to accelerate decision-making and reduce manual workload. We also consider the industry's broader shift toward seamless digital data exchange. Clients receive development results in a format that integrates smoothly into their data management systems wherever possible.
aviaCONsult provides extensive consulting in technical and operational areas. How do you integrate modern technologies and best practices into your services to help clients improve operational efficiency and adapt to evolving industry standards, including any indirect benefits for sustainability?
Our methodology blends cutting-edge flight procedure design technology with best practice frameworks – a challenge to execute despite sounding straightforward. While new technologies may emerge, it is still the human expertise behind the machine that drives procedure design, airspace concepts, and stakeholder management.
The technical aspects, such as GNSS performance predictions, noise impact analysis, and trajectory simulations, are handled by modern design software. However, optimizing safe flight paths that reduce fuel consumption, minimize noise, and fit within the air traffic management environment is always a delicate balance requiring experienced human judgment.
While newer technologies enhance data analytics—such as analyzing past trajectories, simulating future ones, and assessing noise impacts—these are still tools that support decision-making. In practice, our projects have resulted in shorter routes, improved traffic flow, and measurable environmental benefits.
Where do you see aviaCONsult in the next five to ten years? What are some of the emerging trends or challenges in the aviation industry that you are preparing to address through your services?
We envision aviaCONsult as a leading European partner in sustainable air traffic management solutions, with an expanded global presence. We are not aiming to compete with air navigation service providers but focus on supporting the complex aviation sector with expertise. We see ourselves as a solution provider, offering a broad perspective on technology, operations, and regulatory challenges.
This includes the integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) into controlled airspaces. Sustainability-driven procedure redesign is already part of our daily work, and supporting states in achieving their national carbon-reduction targets will become a greater focus.
With the European PBN implementing rule reaching its next milestone in June 2030, we aim to assist air navigation service providers in meeting their targets while adhering to European standards. We are actively building capacity in these areas to ensure our clients can confidently navigate the next wave of aviation transformation.
In a highly competitive industry, how does aviaCONsult’s emphasis on quality, integrity, and innovation shape your approach to client partnerships and long-term collaboration?
Quality, integrity, and innovation are not just values but operational commitments. Quality guarantees our deliverables are consistently audit-ready and performance-oriented. Integrity drives our client engagements with transparency, reliability, and full regulatory and ethical compliance. Innovation pushes us to constantly improve, finding more efficient solutions. This triad fosters long-term collaboration, building trust and credibility, which is why many clients continue to choose aviaCONsult for successive projects.
