10 Innovative Companies of the Year 2025
Business Honor
“With Quibim, healthcare institutions can extract valuable unseen insights from available imaging data in clinical and radiomic information.”
Images in healthcare are getting tougher and more complicated to interpret and analyze. Radiology professionals face the highest task strain in the medical care setting. The extreme time pressure that X-rays, CT scans or MRIs place on specialists because of the large amount of data they must evaluate is a distinct feature of contemporary imaging. Professionals are subject to a wide range of mistakes that could change a patient's condition and course of therapy. This is where artificial intelligence (AI) in particular can be quite helpful.
Using advanced AI technology, one such company, Quibim, Founded by Dr. Ángel Alberich-Bayarri enables research and healthcare institutions to extract knowledge from radiomics, clinical records and imaging data. By using verified real-world data, Quibim converts medical imaging into intelligence that can be put to use. With a dedication to data security and privacy, the business guarantees commitment to international standards while promoting technology in research, diagnostics and personalized treatment.
AI Imaging Solutions by Quibim
QP-Prostate®
QP-Prostate® is AI-driven software designed to improve prostate cancer detection and support radiologists in analyzing prostate MRI scans more accurately and efficiently. It computerizes several key processes including lesion detection, prostate gland segmentation and MRI quality assessment to make sure high diagnostic standards.
The software automatically detects major prostate cancer lesions from biparametric MRI inputs (T2-weighted and diffusion-weighted images) using AI algorithms trained on pathology data. This increases the accuracy of radiologists' detection of aggressive tumors confirmed by biopsy. By allowing accurate volume measurements and supporting biopsy planning, QP-Prostate also divides the prostate into three important anatomical zones: seminal, transitional/central, and peripheral vesicles.
Its automatic MRI protocol quality evaluation in accordance with PI-RADS v2.1 recommendations is another significant feature that makes sure the imaging data is appropriate for precise interpretation. The technology maintains workflow consistency without the need for extra software or interruptions by seamlessly mixing with hospital PACS systems.
QP-Prostate delivers complete information that allows reliable lesion evaluation by providing quantitative diffusion data, such as ADC and high b-value DWI pictures. Its CE, 510(k), and UKCA markings attest to its regulatory conformity. All things considered, QP-Prostate facilitates improved clinical decision-making in the treatment of prostate cancer, increases diagnostic accuracy, and streamlines radiology workflows.
QP-Brain®
An artificial intelligence (AI) software program called QP-Brain® is used to quantitatively analyze brain MRI data. By assessing brain structure volumes and identifying white matter hyper intensity (WMH), it is intended to aid in the assessment of neurodegenerative disorders. Grey matter, white matter, cerebrospinal fluid, and more than 130 brain areas may all be automatically segmented and quantified using the program.
One of its primary purposes is to locate and identify WMH utilizing common 2D FLAIR MRI sequences, obviating the need for more complex imaging methods such as 3D-T1. As a result, a variety of healthcare facilities can access it. The tool distinguishes between pathological WMH and typical anatomical changes using a set of patented AI algorithms.
Without the need for separate workstations, QP-Brain integrates seamlessly with hospital PACS systems, displaying results as part of the patient's imaging record. By enabling the comparison of changes in lesion and brain volume over time, it facilitates longitudinal research. The program is made to adhere to important data protection regulations, such as HIPAA and GDPR. Either secure local installations or anonymous cloud-based environments are used for data processing. QP-Brain is used by clinical and research organizations for clinical study support, disease progression tracking, and diagnostics.
QP-Liver®
AI-powered software called QP-Liver® was created for complex liver MRI scan analysis, with a concentrate on measuring the liver's iron and lipid contents. It generates precise parametric maps at the voxel level and produces a structured quantitative report from abdominal MRI tests that incorporate a multi-echo chemical shift (MECSE) sequence. In order to promote individualized illness care, this report compares the patient's iron and liver fat levels to normative data.
Clinicians can save time and effort by using the service's whole-liver segmentation software. It provides accurate measures of iron concentration and fat (using Proton Density Fat Fraction, or PDFF), two important markers in diseases such iron overload disorders and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). QP-Liver® reduces the need for invasive biopsies while improving diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment choices through precise, non-invasive measurement.
QP-Liver®, which is compatible with PACS systems and integrated into clinical processes, reorganizes reporting and boosts radiologist productivity. By comparing MRI results with pathology data when available, its AI-driven reports enable more thorough evaluations and better-informed clinical recommendations. The software's safety and compliance certifications ensure dependable and secure use in medical settings.
