“INSPHERE creates the technology to capture, analyse and utilise data to drive advanced, automated production.”
Insphere is a company that focuses on revolutionizing manufacturing through advanced metrology sensor technology and software. Founded in 2013 by Ben and Ollie, it aims to drive the future of smart factories and data-driven autonomous manufacturing. Different from traditional methods of part inspection, Insphere's technology controls the manufacturing process itself, thereby improving efficiency with less waste. Their mission is to develop high-performance, adaptive, and sustainable solutions that create better manufacturing environments. Insphere is committed to innovation, integrity, and teamwork and aims to deliver unique technologies that disrupt the status quo and contribute to a more sustainable future for customers, employees, and the environment.
Robotic Performance and Automation Optimization Solutions
IONA
IONA is a scalable network of sensors designed to provide metrology-grade positional data to automated manufacturing processes, unlocking the full potential of industrial robots. Live positional data delivered through IONA allow robot simulations and programs to be updated either periodically or in real-time, correcting for variations in part location, cell setup, or inherent system errors. This technology enables the creation of a highly accurate digital twin of the manufacturing system and allows offline programs to be taken online without manual intervention. IONA improves robot accuracy, performance, and process automation, delivering faster alignment, higher process precision, and continuous 24/7 monitoring. The network of sensors captures live data from multiple points of interest like robots, fixtures, and datum features, removing line-of-sight issues and enhancing overall system performance. Manufacturers realize improved positional awareness through IONA, which leads to more efficient and capable automation systems.
ORA
ORA is an adaptive robot control software platform designed to enhance the performance and versatility of automated manufacturing systems. It offers flexible integration with all major robot brands and various sensing systems, enabling real-time in-process control without manual intervention. ORA provides deep insights into cell activity, allowing for precise, actionable adjustments to improve production accuracy and efficiency. The software tracks robot movements and fixture alignments, generating detailed data to identify and correct misalignments, inaccuracies, and process variations. It integrates seamlessly with robot controllers and cell PLCs, supporting multiple communication protocols like OPC-UA and MQTT. ORA's intuitive interface offers a 3D environment for visualizing data, and it supports advanced applications such as digital twins and SPC analysis. With efficient installation, integration, and a library of standard functions, ORA enhances robot performance, accuracy, and operational efficiency, making it a very vital tool for advanced manufacturing.
Renishaw RCS product series
Insphere is the first company to join the Renishaw Channel Partner Programme, offering the Renishaw RCS product series, which includes the RCS L-90, RCS T-90, and RCS P-series. These products are designed to address challenges in commissioning and servicing industrial automation technologies, specifically targeting issues related to manual setup, calibration, and maintenance of robots. The RCS L-90 is a ballbar device that enhances robot system accuracy, reduces deployment time, and monitors robot health with simple routines. The RCS T-90 is a tri-ballbar system that helps identify the root causes of poor performance through detailed testing, capturing critical robot data. The RCS P-series integrates a permanent Renishaw probing solution within a robot cell, enabling in-process metrology and automatic recovery, improving overall automation processes. These products complement the range of robot guidance technologies available, aiming to improve automation accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
